In it’s 2018 survey of the best places around the world to retire International Living named Portugal as Europe’s Best Retirement Haven. The Portuguese people, the affordable lifestyle, safety (Portugal ranked third on the list of safest places in the world on the 2017 Global Peace Index), the country’s natural beauty and affordable health care were all cited.

Portugal was listed seventh overall in International Living’s “The World’s Best Places to Retire in 2018”.
